I was looking for an easy-to-use, good quality projector to use in my classroom, and this fits the bill perfectly. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but wanted good resolution and definitely got it. It's simple enough that I plugged in my laptop and was up and running in a matter of a couple of minutes. Make sure to order the correct connection cords for your computer, or whatever you're connecting to, and you'll be all set.

I have used it several times.
My one complaint is that there are not enough clear instructions on using the remote control.

I pastor a small home-missions church, and we purchased this projector about 4 months ago to project scriptures, song lyrics and announcements. We needed a projector that was bright enough to see with the church lights on, and one with high enough definition that the visual quality would not lessen as we moved the projector out from the wall. This projector met all of our needs and then some! Set-up was virtually non-exsistent. I plugged it into the wall, plugged it to my laptop via HDMI cord and it worked. 'nuff said. The color is spot-on, and before we mounted it in the church, I plugged it up to my x-box 360 and had a 3 hour High-Defenition x-box live session on a 10 foot screen (...kitchen wall).

My only complaint would be the internal speakers on the projector. They get way to loud for the quality of the speakers, and if you have the volume turned to more than 75%, you will start to get distortion (at least with machine guns firing and bombs going off playing Battlefield 3). However, If you are using this for movie parties or video games, I doubt you will be projecting the sound through the projector anyway. Actually, the fact that it even plays sound at all is a huge feature many projectors at this price don't even have to begin with. Overall, great buy at a fair price, and I would recommend this to anyone with similar needs as ours. I give it a 5/5 even with the speaker issue because there is no option for a 4.5/5 and its too good to be a 4/5.

Your not gonna find a better projecter for this price. The projector came before the screen did so i just shined it on a blank wall that was painted green. I could not believe the size of the screen and the clarity is top notch. Makes me wish i had a bigger wall. During the summers i plan on haveing people over for a fire, some beer, and a 350" movie on the side of the house.

It is bright, clear, and has the HD wide screen capability. It works great with our presentations. I would recommend this projector to anyone wanting a great bargain for a great product.

We love this projector for the price. I recently was going to buy a 50 inch plasma for my basement for $599.00. It was pretty much a done deal right before xmas then it hit me, why not look at a projector and screen. The cost of those two items compared to the tv was within 15 dollars of the tv. So I bought the wxga optoma for $480, and the screen (16x10, 110") for $133. I already had an old 2 channel receiver and speakers that work well for the sound. I had a roku box hooked up also but have since bought a sony wifi bluray player instead. So now I surf the web, and take advantage of netflix, hulu plus, crackle , etc throught the blu ray player. The blu ray movies look great on this projector. And it was weird actually surfing the web on 110" screen. Also now, all of our wi and xbox games will be played through the projector. Ive tried the wi so far but not the xbox. I eventually want a 5.1 receiver to make this even better. So I thought my set up was complete until I needed to watch some playoff football on live tv. We had an old digital converter box that was meant for the old tube tvs and that was fine but I wanted a higher resolution feed that I could send to the hdmi instead of the video jack. I was looking up tuners that were capable and some started around 90 dollars but had very questionable performance according to reviews. After doing a bit more research I ended up buying a used tivo premier box for 35 dollars that serves as an exceptional 1080 tuner and it has a very nice picture now. Keep in mind that I don't have the subscription for that box so I don't have any of the normal features that go with the monthly subscription. Just the tv tuner and 30 minutes worth of pause in programming. So, basically, for under $1000.00, A person can have a heck of a man cave.
I also want to add, My basement is a walkout with several windows so it is brighter than most basements and this projector still looks good. I needed about 15 feet from the screen to get a 110" projection.

This projector is amazing for its cost - no problems whatsoever. The picture quality is vastly better than my old projector and it is much quieter as well.

I purchased this to display music videos while I DJ. While the projector is sharp, it just doesn't have brightness or throw I am looking for. You need at least 15 feet to get a decent sized image. I am returning this unit for a more expensive short throw projector. If you need this for presentations or a cheap home theater setup, this would be great but if you will be using this in an environment with ambient light, spend a little bit more on a projector with a higher Lumen count.
