  Now a paperweight
  This is the third presenter I have purchased in the last month. The first was from another manufacturer, buttons were too close together and was not useful. The second was the non-laser pointer version of this model, ordered by mistake but I loved everything else about it so I ordered the laser pointer version.The laser is a disapointment. It's weak and dies on continuous use.Also, the black screen function is replaced with the laser pointer button. Although I get sticking with a 4 button design, the play button doesn't play videos from PowerPoint, I am not sure what it is for. I would have much preferred forward back and black screen, but that is a personal preference.Maybe the laser is defective but I will simply switch to another product, not worh dealing with a return for the price paid.If it had a better laser I would give 5 stars.

  Laser pointer is woefully underpowered
  My family has owned one of these laser pointers for many years now, and that original model was ideal: Comfortable to hold with good weight and build quality, and one of the strongest laser pointers you could find for the price. Understandably I sought out this specific model when the time came to have my own laser pointer/remote.Sadly it seems they've changed the design in the many years since that original, as it's no longer the product it once was. While the shape is as comfortable as ever, the build quality has declined. The remote now feels lighter and more fragile, and the seams are looser while the USB receiver now rattles quite prominently while stored.The most unfortunate part is that the laser pointer is now an absolute joke. The old model could be comfortably seen in daylight across a 15' room, while the model I purchas ed had to be held less than two feet from the wall in order to be seen at all. I've bought cat toys for 2$ that performed better than this 50$ device. Terribly disappointed, as this used to be one of those rare items that was perfect for it's every purpose.

  Reliable
  We use these exclusively for our training staff at work. With 10 to 15 in the field at any given time, trainers working 5 days a week for years, these are the only pointers that have held up to the use and abuse of travel. They work well on both Mac and PC

  Waste of money on useless laser pointer; otherwise device is OK
  Overall, this is a solid well-constructed device.However, the laser pointer is useless: it is so weak and low-power that it is virtually INVISIBLE.So don't waste your money on the device with the laser option. Just sp end less money and choose the one without the laser, since it doesn't work well anyways.Or.............if you really want a laser pointer with this slide-changing device, choose another brand and another manufacturer.

  Good quality presenter
  I used to borrow a presenter like this. Worked well for my needs so bought my own. Works well at quite a distance, and I expect I'll get good service from it. Item arrived from Mikes Computer shop FAST. Recommended as a reasonably-priced basic laser pointer/presenter

  It clicks and points - woo!
  Simple and effective. I use this in my college classes (instructor) and let my student presenters use it for their presentations. I'm never more than 10 metres away from the computer, so I can't vouch for its effectiveness over distance. The dongle stores nicely in the bottom of the clicker, but it can be easy to forget to recover the dongle at the end of class.

  Great product, Mac book recognized it quickly, had a presentation to make, was amazing how easy it was.Perfect. No messing around , plug and play
