  Works but feels like it can easily break
  For the price it does what it's supposed to. But yes like others have said it feels cheap. The 2 issues I had was that USB dongle was made out of plastic and if you accidentally left the dongle attached to your laptop and you put it in a bag, it will snap pretty easily. I would have liked it to be made out of metal. My previous pointer/clicker had a metal dongle which took a beating but worked. I guess to remedy this is to buy 2 remotes just in case one breaks.My 2nd issue is that the USB dongle is accessed by having to open the battery cover. Eventually with a lot of use, that battery cover will either wear out quick or the locking tab will break. My other pointer had a magnetic compartment where the dongle would be kept securely and easily.Don't get me wrong, for the money it does what it s supposed to do. But maybe buy 2 just in case.

  A great pointer for presentations!
  This is a great pointer/clicker for giving presentations. I'd recommend this laser pointer for any student, teach or professor that regularly has to give presentations.The layout of the buttons is quite comfortable for changing slides and using the pointer. The buttons have a good tactile feel and aren't hard to press. They do make a bit of a clicking sound when pressed. The laser is a bright red color and works across large distances, much more than you would ever need for a presentation. However, the laser is not visible on TV (LCD, LED) screens. Very conveniently uses a single AAA battery, so its easy to find a quick replacement whenever you need one.The included USB receiver is stored inside the battery compartment. It is quite small and seems sort of fragile. It may not always plug in easily dependin g on the USB port you're using. I would recommend always keeping it in the pointer if you're not using it. Despite the receiver being tiny the pointer has a great range. I've had to give presentations with my laptop over fifty feet away and the clicker still worked perfectly to change slides. Plug into any USB port and the pointer connects right away.Works flawlessly on Windows and Macs for me.Pros:Easy to hold and useBright, long distance laserClickers change slides perfectlyRequires 1 AAA batterySimple setup, just plug in the USBCons:USB receiver is small and feels cheap (works great though)

  This is not the most robust device - handle with more care than usual
  I lost my previous one that I'd had for 3 years. The previous one had been through being placed in my roller bag and then into the belly of an aircraft and you know how they handle stuff!This one I liked the size a nd such, newer design, etc.What I don't like about it is the fwd/back buttons have an odd tactile feel to them, almost like if you use them too much they may break!?!?! It's hard to put into words.I've used it a handful of times and it's functionality is fine, insert usb receiver and your device will clue in to what it is and viola!Laser is a bit weak as others have posted but for me it's fine and I do carry a more powerful one if need be (not so far), battery life I can't advise as I have a new battery with only about 7-hours on it + or -. I am looking to get 2 months out of a battery as I did with my last one however.Feel of the device in hand is good, fits well, unobtrusive and has a rubbery type grip so that part I like.Like any value priced item, caveat emptor as it is.

  Pay a little more... get something better than this
  This is scary cheap. The USB connector is of a worse build quality than any I've ever seen. That alone wouldn't be so bad; however, it's also slightly too wide because it takes some care to get it to fit into a standard port. I'm afraid that, by plugging this in repeatedly, I may damage my laptop's USB port. So, I will keep this as a spare (after I get a battery for it because it's not included) in case of an emergency where I can't find another one. I suggest you only buy this device for that purpose.

  Great and really professional product!
  I purchased this clicker prior to my start as a Teaching Assistant and have been genuinely impressed. Been using it consistently for 5 months.PROS:Fits well in my hand and the buttons are intuitively placed for the average user. The "laser", "full screen" and "black screen" functionalities are simply amazing and soo useful. I also had no trouble using it - simply plugged the USB into my lapop and I was good to go within a matter of seconds!In terms of battery life, I've been using it for 5 months and haven't had to change the battery yet!CONS:I personally, don't mind the shape of the clicker, but I can imagine some people might prefer the sleek, more slender clicker option. It can be a little annoying and bulky to pack with your laptop if your case isn't big enough. The device uses AAA batteries which isn't the common type compared to most household AA devices (NOTE it also does NOT come with a battery so please purchase that separately). However I purchased cheap batteries from Amazon the following day.Overall great product and very useful for my purposes. Would buy again if needed.

  Light weight, YES....too much so
  The product works fine and is very easy to setup which I like. Plug and go and works well with PPT and my PDFs scrolling through them. The built-in laser pointer, bla ck-out, and run slideshow buttons on the device makes it very handy. Down side is the device feels flimsy. While it is light in weight I feel that it is TOO light and hollow, as if you can crush it anytime or that it won't survive an accidental drop. The USB receiver is also very very thin and a little hard to push into the USB slot of my laptop...I had to take a look few times to make sure I didn't have it upside down and it wasn't, just a very very snug.Overall it does the job, you get what you paid for. I am not super excited, especially that it doesn't come with a battery but I didn't regret buying it.
