had this for almost a month and love it. I play COD Black ops 2 in 3d its intence. for the money get it and for the quality get it. no audio out but thats a simple fix when i run it through my sround sound

About a year a ago I put this in my living room with a 14 ft. screen and a 1000 5.1 sound system, every one that sees it just says WOW, it is very impressive and did it all of it for around a grand, when people talk about there 50, 60, or 70 inch TV I just say I have a 14 ft. TV , they say WOW.

Cannot beat this projector for the price point- 3d works great and has great color. Easy to work and hang for movie night. Find comfortable active 3d glasses that will sync with the projector and you have a great home theater at an affordable price.

I bought this Vivitek D512-3D to replace my Espon EX51 for the 3D feature. I am a bit disappointed in the throw distance isn't as good, as far back as I could mount the Vivitek the largest picture I could get was only 2/3 (103") of what the Epson (or Sharp I had prior, which was about 145" at around 12') could do at less distance, but the 3D is worth it. The picture is very good, the contrast ratio is better than I've had with any of my 4 projectors I've had in the past as well. The 2D to 3D conversion is ok and adds depth, which the only way to describe it is that your screen is like a window. Things don't pop out at you, but you can see things at at distance still. The 3D on bluray is very good, and not hard to setup like many have mentioned on here before (I run it on an old PS3 phat). Many have mentioned that you have to use particular glasses or play around with it to get any to work. I bought 7 of the SainSonic(TM) SSZ-200DLB here on Amazon for cheap (and they are rechargeable) and they work great on all 3D modes. At first I didn't think they worked, but it was because I was using 2 year old HDMI 1.3 cables, once I put 1.4 cables on it, it worked great! I am even running the HDMI through a 2 year old Yamaha receiver and 3D bluray still works great and allows me to use my full surround sound.

All in all, it's a great bang for your buck projector. Only changes I'd like to see is a longer rated bulb, USB port, maybe a second HDMI port, lens shift, and shorter throw distance (higher manual zoom ratio). Maybe a nicer carry bag, all of the ones I've had before had bags more like a quality laptop bag, this one is cheesy. I myself with kids, would also appreciate a full size remote, this is smaller than a credit card and is more likely to get lost in the cushions. But for the price, you can't beat the features.

The projector was awesome all around, except for two things- throw ratio and lack of smartphone integration. This is meant for a long distance between the projector and screen. And this unit is unable to be detected by my Galaxy Note II. To me, both of those issues are worth 1 star each,

Decent projector, if you just want a clean picture and have a dark room, this would suffice. However..3D is unwatchable on this. I am a huge 3D fan. I have a 2012 60 inch Samsung LED 3D TV.. I know what 3D should be.. and this isnt even close... If the motion is anything faster than watching fish swim off the screen towards you then its a complete blur. You get what you pay for. If you can't afford a better projector.. then either forget 3D or wait till you save up some more money.

I was quite pleased with this projector. It works well, is easy to install and to operate (except the 3D part, but once you have set it up the first time, it switches to 3D automatically). The 2D to 3D is worthless, but I don't think any good converters exist (maybe in the future). It's nice to test your glasses on though, not more than that.

I'm using this as a Theater projector, in combination with a Sony 3D Blu-Ray, Onkyo 7.2 surround sound and 3D glasses by 3DTV Corp. All works smoothly together and I can recommend each of these products.
