Product Overview
The NEC V260X is designed to provide higher brightness for meeting and conference rooms that have heavy ambient light but require a small projector. These lightweight mobile models are 3D Ready and include a 7W speaker, closed captioning and NEC’s Virtual Remote control software. Their VIDI technology, a Philips innovation designed to work in conjunction with the color wheel, uses a brilliant pulse to increase the brightness of the image and a dark pulse to increase the contrast ratio. Enhanced connectivity, including HDMI, dual computer inputs and RJ45, are clearly color-coded and labeled on the panel. What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?

Projector was easy to set up and performs exceptionally well. Very bright, even on a non-white wall with some room lights on.Weight and size are very practical.

I use this for work and it's really bright and works great. The only thing that could make it better is another adjustable foot in the back. The 3 point balance system sometimes doesn't work to even out the picture on uneven surfaces. 5.0 out of 5 stars NEC 2600-lumen HIgh-Brightness Mobile Projector (NP-V260X), December 17, 2012

NEC Display NP-V260X 3D Ready DLP Projector - 1080i - HDTV - 4:3 - NTSC PAL SECAM - 1024 x 768 - XGA - 2000:1 - 2600 lm - HDMI - VGA - Ethernet - 278 W - 2 Year WarrantyWhat a deal. Highly recommended. I pored over a large number of reviews and looked at offers in many electronics stores before ordering this projector from Amazon. I was a little bit worried about ordering an item of this nature from the US for use in Western Australia. However, it arrived very well packed and everything worked straight out of the box. Our Church has used an earlier NEC product for several years and it has not even needed a replacement bulb, albeit the brightness is now low (used two or three times a week for 2 to 4 hours at a time, say 500 hours a year for five years). It was easy to switch from PowerPoint on PC-1 to video on PC-2 to an action video on an IPad through a HDMI adapter.. easy and fun to use.

Bought this projector for picture slide shows, and found out that it does a great job with videos also.Color, brightness and sound are all better than the $399.00 price would warrant. This seems to be one of the cheapest projectors with an HDMI connection. Easy to setup and my wife has been thrilled with all the stuff she has used it for (DVDs and children animation files).
The 10 watt speaker is a nice touch. No need to bring along external speakers for most uses.
I did a bunch of research on projectors in the $250 to $450 on-line price band, and this one was the best balance between price, quality and features (IHMO).

Awesome. I'm really, really happy with this projector. Remote works fine for me. Not sure why other reviews have said otherwise, but everything works fantastic. The image is great for the native 1024x768 resolution and colors are very vivid and extremely bright even with HEAVY ambient light in my apartment and all lights on.Even though this says 2000:1 contrast ratio, the black colors aren't washed out on my projector. I was expecting much worse black levels during dark video, however I found on this unit it seems to be quite sufficient. Don't get me wrong, its no HDTV, but look at the price and take a shot on this one. Its a great budget performer.
From about 9.5ft away my screen is reaching 105 inches diagonal and xbox360 is freaking awesome, as well as netflix.
Yes, resolution could be better, but for my pocket book this projector delivered all the way.
Plus the DLP lamps are under $200.
Just giving a small review for anyone interested.
**Now I'm going to make me a theater screen**

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Projector, December 10, 2011

Alright so we get this projector and we thought great, we got ourselves a 3D projector and we can start watching 3D. Quality is Great and all but the thing is that the projector wouldn't play 3D movies for some reason. Every time we set the projector in 3D, it would always say the the HDMI is out of range. It didn't make sense at first but we finally contacted NEC about this and they said the projector is programmed to play 3D in all the other components except for HDMI. If I'm not mistaken, 3D blue ray/ dvd players can only play 3D in HDMI. This projector was probably the worst thing I bought on amazon. People reading this review, do not buy this projector if you want to use it for 3D using a 3D blue ray/ dvd player.
